BRIEF OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE / TASK

POST TENDER QUANTITY SURVEYING

Preparation & getting certification of Monthly Valuations, Final Valuations & Variations for the projects (Re-measurable & Lump sum contract)
Costing for Post Tenders
Estimation of Quantities from drawings
Cash Flow preparation, Budget preparation
Estimation in ERP (Apex) software
Technical & commercial coordination with External auditors for annual Balance sheet closing
Projects Technical Auditing
Reconciliation of construction materials
Monitoring cost of the projects including Fleets
All projects Non Tender Items & Variations – preparation, submission & interacting with clients for getting certification from clients
Preparation of Profit / Loss statements for project
All monthly statements & auditing the site billing engineers Roles & Responsibilities monthly.

CONTRACT MANAGEMENT

Drafting of the work orders with Technical Terms and conditions.
Reviewing of Quantity, BOQ and Tender Document.
Floating Quotations as per Purchase / Service requisitions received from the projects and tracking them. Floating of Enquiries / Calling for quotations from the contractors / vendors. Follow up with the contractors for timely execution and penalizing in case of delay.
Contract management as per clauses mentioned in the contract documents. Techno commercial & Rate discussions with the Contractors/Vendors and Shortlisting. Analysis of rates, Quantity Surveying, Market research/comparison of rates with existing ones
Negotiation with the shortlisted vendors primarily in terms Price, Time schedule and payment terms.
Preparation and issue of BOQ/LOI/WO/ Agreements as per requirements.
Site inspection and Joint measurement for additional work.
Scrutiny, Verification & certification of Contractor bills.
Finalization of contract trade wise like painting, tiling, etc.,
Comparison of the Quotes received
Coordination with the different consultants / Architects / Site team for the progress of the work.
Handling ERP software for work orders.

Interests

Apart from being a QS Manager, I enjoy most of my time being outdoors. In the winter, I am an avid skier and novice ice climber. During the warmer months here in Colorado, I enjoy mountain biking, free climbing, and kayaking.

When forced indoors, I follow a number of sci-fi and fantasy genre movies and television shows, I am an aspiring chef, and I spend a large amount of my free time exploring the latest technology advancements in the front-end web development world.
